NCECA Resources

The first step to making photographing your work easier and faster (no matter if you use a cell phone or regular camera) is the right foundation. Add your email below and get my free 3-Step Cheat Sheet, which outlines the foundation I used to photograph work Live at NCECA: Coalescence during Take Better Photos, Faster.

The Gear

(When possible, some of the links are affiliate links. By using them you help us keep creating free resources!)

Camera Body:

Canon EOS R6 Mark II - Full Frame Mirrorless Camera

Lenses:

16-35mm f2.8 (what I referred to as the “wide angle” lens in the beginning)

100mm f2.8 Macro

Lens not used but a favorite second only to the 100mm (and most economical): 50mm F1.8 STM Lens

Video light:

GVM 800D-RGB LED Light Panel

Alternative for larger work: Westcott U60-B Bi-Color LED Monolight with Octabox

Backdrops:

Replica Surfaces (pricey but easy to work with if you want to mimic certain textures)

My advice: Go to the hardware store and paint a couple of boards. If your style changes in the future, you can always repaint them!
